Job Overview:
We are seeking a part time or full time highly motivated and experienced Behavior Consultant to join our team.

Behavior Consultant- MUST HOLD ONE OF THE FOLLOWING LICENSES: LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LBS

-This position is part time hourly work anywhere from 10-30 hours.

Working as a Behavior Consultant, you will:

  • Facilitate team meetings with the identified student's teachers and parents for the purpose of completing a Functional Behavioral Assessment.
  • Work with the treatment team (Behavioral Health Technician and Mobile Therapist) to design Behavior Interventions Plans; address classroom organization, effective instruction, social skills instruction, and ethical issues; School-wide Positive Behavioral Support; and factors that affect effectiveness including social validity and treatment integrity.
  • Work with individual teachers, groups of teachers and/or the entire staff on issues such as: crisis intervention, learning and collaboration issues, and factors that can affect development and implementation of interventions.
  • Provide clinical supervision for the assigned Behavioral Health Technicians, providing guidance and support in delivery of services.
  • Promote highly specialized positive behavior interventions in which "at risk" students thrive.
  • Use ongoing assessments to maintain a record of student progress.
  • Develop a repertoire of assessment strategies consistent with instructional goals, teaching methods, and individual student needs to more accurately assess student behavior skills and understandings.
  • Regard assessment as a joint venture through which both student and teacher understanding is enhanced.
  • Create fair and equitable assessments to assess higher-order thinking and problem solving as well as individual skills, knowledge, and understandings.
  • Model good assessment processes that assist students in assessing their own work and behavior.
  • Provide recognition of a variety of student accomplishments and positive behaviors.
  • Work cooperatively with building administrators to promote positive student behavior by providing professional development that targets research, strategies and modeling of instructional practices to support teachers in their implementation of positive behavior support in their classrooms.
  • Continually supervise students to ensure a safe, non-threatening, nurturing environment where students can thrive.

Qualified Behavior Consultant Candidates Should Possess:

  • Master's Degree in Mental Health Discipline
  • LBS designation preferred
  • Professional Licensure preferred, but not required (BCBA, LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist)

Please note: All new hires are expected to be fully vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to start date.

TRAVEL

  • Must be willing to travel in all possible settings including schools, home, community settings (day care, summer camps) in and around Northeast Philadelphia
  • Schools and client homes are located in 25 minutes or less radius from our main building

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Must be willing to work closely with school staff
  • Must be willing to work with clients 3-20 years old with significant behavior diagnosis including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ODD, PSTD, Depression, Anxiety
  • Must be able to complete a functional behavior assessment and have some knowledge/experience as a behavior consultant
  • Must be open to supervising BHT staff

IN-PERSON WORK

Limited opportunity to work remote for paperwork needs/client request, 90% of this job is in-person

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

  • Must be willing to maintain a flexible schedule and commit to at least two nights (after 3pm) based on caseload and client/family needs

BILLING EXPECTATION

  • Must be willing to maintain a billing expectation based on client services provided each week and hours worked

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
